Nazareth Tractor Assembly Plant (NTAP) was established in 1984 by the Technical and Economic Cooperation Agreement betwen the Government of Ethiopia and the former USSR and it is still the sole domesic plant engaged in the assembly of tractors and tractor implements.
It was re-established by the council of Ministers Regulations No. 63/992.
Objectives
NTAP has the following objectives:

To assembly and manufacture tractors, agricultural implements and spare parts.

To sell its products in domestic and foreign markets directly or through agents.

To procure from domestic and foreign markets inputs and capital goods necessary for its operation and development.

To render services related to its activities.

To engage generally in any business conductive to the attainment of its purposes.
Main Products and Services

Different model Belarus brand tractors with 80-110 HP range are the main products of the plant.
-
Trailers and other agricultural machineries like disc plows, disc harrows and trailers are also produced by the plant.
Capacity
Designed capacity of the plant is 1000 tractors
per year per shift.
